While collecting a prescription from the local Alliance pharmacy, which has been "bought over by Boots", the SA told me that people who work for the NHS are entitled to 10% off all purchases, excluding precriptions! I got it today because they know me but apparently if you take your ID badge you get this. Don't know if this is an area thing but I imagine it would be across the country. First I've heard of it in the 18 years i've been an NHS employee but who knows! Anyone heard of this? Next time i'm in Boots i'll try it and let you know.

Never heard of this but it would be great if it's true!

Did she mean 10% of at Alliance or 10% off at Boots?
  • thanks hun, getting more happy birthdays on here than off my own family lol!x

Another local Bootser....Hi I'm in Gloucester though not shopped for about 3 weeks!!!!!

Did you try the HIgh St or Gallager store for the Nail sets?
Also what do these tins look like?
I went to the High Street Store, the expert tins are a silver tin with a white cardboard band around that says "expert to go" on them. I didnt see any nail kits but they are doing a refit at the moment and everything was all over the place. Im off to Gallager on the way home to see what stuff I can get.
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!

I've just got back from Worthing boots (town centre) and managed to get (3 separate transactions):

Med Almond Soap (£1.50) and Med almond pistachio & olive body scrub (FREE !!!!)
Med Almond Soap (£1.50) and Med almond pistachio & milk body butter (FREE!!)
Med Almond Soap (£1.50) and Amazon forest brazil nut & vanilla bath creme (FREE !!)

I'm not sure whats going on but I used the ACM vouchers with each - maybe it's varying from store to store. I will post pictures of my receipts on here later for you all ......... but in the meantime ......... i'm off to Bognor to see if I can get some more !

Well done:T I might try the glitch in a different store tomorrow. It's funny how the glitch works in some stores, but not others:confused: ...typical of boots:rolleyes:

  • Is it just me or do you see other people walking around boots stores with coupons/vouchers in hand and think "hmmm, I wonder if they read the MSE boots forum and if so I wonder who they are!"

I think we should identify ourselves to other fellow bootsers in store somehow, then we could share tips on the go! Maybe a pink carnation!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

for all those of you who didn't get a mediterranean soap voucher from the ACM it might be worth trying a different one if you can. I used the one in the Arnison centre this morning and didn't get a voucher but did get one from the marketplace this afternoon:confused:

I bought two lots one with body wash (£4) and one with body butter (£6.50?) so it seems to work with all products. I'm sure this has already been posted but am working my way through pages to catch up:D the second transaction the SA read the voucher put the stuff through (which didn't beep) then said that's not right I can't let you have that you can only have the soap free. I said I would leave it and could I have my voucher back (she wasn't going to give it back). She said I will put the things back on the shelf. So I wandered about a bit then picked the same things off the shelf then paid downstairs:D she also said the voucher was only valid today even though it said valid until 22 April.
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
    £60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j
