rosy, I'm sitting here and I can feel my blood pressure rising. How dare they do that to you? I'd implore you, and strongly, to contact CS asap. No-one should be made to do what you did, and subsequently be left feeling as you did.

I'm livid just thinking about it!

It's no different, in my eyes, than Boots overcharging a member of the public, and the member of public returning to the store and helping themselves to a refund from the till.

I'd have been straight round to C.A.B. or contacted the local paper, Watchdog, or whoever it is that deals with these things.

Please, please, please mail CS and complain about the atrocious behaviour they subjected you to. It could happen again to another unsuspecting shopper.

I'm totally gobsmacked!!! Take care and good luck x

I totally agree. The behaviour of that manager was disgusting. It is one thing to say BEFORE you buy that 'sorry you can only buy one' but after you have left the shop, that isn't on. Complain and complain hard.

    Hi everyone

Just wondered if someone could possibly tell me the barcode of the eyeliners which are going through for 58p - the soft brown and soft black ones if you will please as I am venturing to Trafford Centre on Saturday!!! I am so excited about going to a huge Boots and want to make the most of it but obviously spend as little as possible!

    TIA :)

Not sure of brown code as nobody has said yet, but it looks like the new ones do not just have a coloured end, but also a strip around pencil end?

ooooh thanks everyone - im really excited! I have been at work last couple of days so trying to catch up on latest glitches/offers so I can get my shopping list ready but there is a whole new thread and we are already up to 22 pages *gulp* - may just have to skim!

Did I read it right somewhere that they are doing the free expert tin when you buy 2 expert products? If so, does this go for any products or just certain ones?

    TIA (Again lol)

I am just back from a terrible time in my local Boots. I tried to get the foundation on 342 with the free concealers. At the normal till the SA said it wouldnt go through, so she called the No. 7 SA. She told me she would try another way, and I paid 2650 points. Left the shop, walked around for about 15 mins, then remembered I hadnt got the coupons from the ACM. The sa saw me, called me back to the No. 7 counter, said would I speak to the manager. I said ofcourse. The manager said it clearly says on the sign only 1 per person, and took back my goodies. I felt as if they treated me like a shoplifter, and was upset by the whole thing. I feel like I dont want to ever go into that store again. I came back and ordered it online, no problems, didnt order the concealers, 3 just showed up free. So had to pay £26.50 plus £2.95 delivery, where as I wanted to pay with my points.

I'm just catching up, so you've probably heard this already, but call customer service! I never heard of buying something and then having the store take it back. At that point it's almost like they were stealing from you! It was legally yours. And the manager shouldn't have been saying anything to you, if she thought the transaction was improper she should've had a long talk with the SA. You did nothing wrong -- you asked to buy something and they sold it to you, you didn't force them to.

Customer service should definitely do something for you -- like give you your order for free or *loads* of points on your card. I'd make sure to mention how humiliated you felt and that they basically stole back your legal purchase. Knowing that CS sometimes gives out points to customers who have a problem, I think you deserve a lot of points. If the first CS person you call won't do anything, hang up, call back and talk to someone else. Let us know how it goes!
