UPDATE
The 8585 is showing as £74.99 online and the 8595 is showing as £92.50 online.
HOWEVER just been instore price for the 8585 was £37.49 and I got triple points with that (448). They only had one 8585 in stock."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
wow! that's cheap! what store was that please?
I asked in the moor branch in sheffield, but it was still 75 quid. i was thinking we could use the reciept for the old one to take the new one back, if it was even cheaper. I know it was a good deal anyway, but I do feel had done by, if they are now so much cheaper. Is that wrong?
also, if I ordered it online today, I'd have got an extra 1000 points. of course, when i got it a fornight ago all i got was a rubbish photo processing voucher!!!
Does anyone know how long boots refund on unused products policy is?0 -
Cheapside Branch, I got the last one.
I think you can go in and return it and then get a new one at the cheaper price.
BTW went into the Fleet St branch and it was still showing as £75."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
Just got the 8585 this morning instore for 74.99 (workington ,cumbria)
so the 37.49 seems to be a flukey buy!! Why don't i have that luck?
Checked on line before i bought and was still full price, so now after reading this i feel really down as i could have got tripple points and an extra 1000 for shopping on line .
Good job it is an electric shaver , not the old cut throat, or i don't know what i would do!!:wall:0 -

Its very simple. Return the one you bought instore, you will get your money back. Go online and purchase it online. That way you get it for £75, triple points and the 1000 points.

Tesco's (Instores)
Costs £99.99 in the latest Argos. Bought one!0 -
I bought the 8585 a week ago and find it first class. Don't be tempted to spend more on the 8595, it's just the fancy display you will be paying for. There's no improvement in performance.0

he he he.
just ordered the 8585 online with all the fancy points systems, i should get 3414 points back.
will take the new one back to the store with the original receipt...
woohooo!
if it doesn't work (have had the razor for 2 weeks, i'm not sure how long their refunds policy is) i've not lost anything, as it was free postage anyway. think i can say i got it for my boyfriend for his birthday, and he didn't want it or something. should be fine!!!
and i got some shampoo delivered!

I personally find it doesn't shave as close a Philishave, but is still very good (once your face gets usd to it)0
