Hi everyone! :hello:
I have today been very tired.. will get iron levels checked very soon. Although it's possibly 2 hours 40 mins travelling a day I am doing and then coming home and cooking for the children. :rotfl:
Anyway! Enough of my woes (such as they are) I just wanted to say my thoughts are with Smokeybabe and the children today and tomorrow, virtual candle lit (and many thanks for that link) as there is another person I would like to use that for. I will light a real candle tomorrow Smokey - right next to the one I light for my Dad. *Hugs* and much love to all0 -

Good evening to one and all,
Just thought I'd post to say that Smokeybabe and family are in my thoughts.
I always read the daily thread, even if I do not always post on here. I like it on here as I have always been made to feel welcome, and hopefully people new and old to this thread will feel the same.
Today has been good on the OS front, as I got some banana bread pudding and fairy cakes made. I have also been trying to sort out some more stuff for Ebay, but keep getting waylaid
. Anyhow I hope you all have a good evening.
Best Wishes - Powie:wave:A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -
Evening all.
Smoky hugs to you and the family, I have lit a candle for you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow.
I've read through the thread and I have tried to click thanks as I go, for some reason, my button does not always work...so apologies if i've missed you.
Work again today, then my colleagues and I visited a friend who is off sick, following an op.
Miss Twit (14) started a part-time job today, helping out in a local shop. It will be for a couple of hours about twice a week. :T
Mr Twit is working tonight, so I think I'll go and have a shower and then carry on with watching the second series of 24.
If anyone has the Melody style floor mop, it's the one where the head is a long flat thing that folds in two and the ends go into a flat cloth/fibre pad, and the pad is washable....anyway, they had the pads in Lidl....at £1.99, I'm sure I paid more for my last pad. They had 2 sorts, one that was nylony/bristly (are they words) and the other was a type of microfibe....both machine washable.
Having laminate floors/tiles/karndean throughout, I find these sort of mops are a bonus.
Love to all.

We had 2 trolley loads full, and Im talking both was piled high and falling on the floor! We spent £136....and I will never forget that!lyndseyann wrote: »yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thats where i do my lidl shopping:j

Hi,
Thank you all for your messages of support and the candles idea is lovely. I am again incredibly touched at the flowers that arrived today from you all. Thank you so much.
Eric came home yesterday, I had some bits to put in the coffin for him but the undertaker rang and advised against me going up to see him. One of our friends very kindly offered to do it for me today (although the undertaker was going to do it) as she thought it would be nice if someone who loved him did it for me. One of his friends also wanted to go and talk to him but the coffin was closed when he did so.
I feel sick to my stomach today and the whisky bottle is looking very tempting at the moment. I have been to his bank and told them and also to the benefits office to apply for some money towards the funeral. The bill for that arrived yesterday and I nearly fell over when I saw it. Anyway the benefits office told me that I had to contact the tax credits otherwise when the form I filled in filtered through the computer to them the computer system would stop the claim in place. So another phonecall to them and they are going to sort that out.
Another of Eric's friends has started the process off for his pension from his old job as I could not bear to tackle them after what they did to us over the tied house and so for that I am grateful.
Anyway thank you all again for you thoughts and kindness.
