Carphonewarehouse/Virgin screw up...
Options
I recently signed up for carphonewarehouses offer of a 6 month contract with virgin for 300 mins & 300 texts @ £20pm with £120 cashback at the end of the contract (i have since been told by them that its £60 after 3&6 months)
However the phone number of the sim card they sent me does not marry up with the mobile number on my invoice from carphonewarehouse, i only noticed this by chance as i was about to port my old number over.
I have called both carphonewarehouse and virgin, carphonewarehouse advise me that they cannot do anything other than get there e-orders department to contact me (despite repeated calls i have not heard anything from them and i cannot find a number for them anywhere) Virgin say i am free to use the sim however this will no doubt lead to me defaulting on the cashback as once i port my number it will cause no end of confussion....
So really just a warning to anyone who has used these people recently, check that the numbers on the invoice and sim match up or it could cost you.

Hi,
Strange one this is but one that I have heard before :-
eMail the CEO of Virgin Media and explain the problem, one of his people in the Exec Office will come back to you with a solution with a few hours,
the CEO is neil.berkett@virginmedia.co.uk
Hope that this helps.

I am in a similar situation with Carphone, theyt also screwed me over on the £10 PAYG top deal recently, needless to say I won't be buying from the Carphone again.0 -
I also have had problems with the CPW setting up the contact then Virgin saying the CPW cancelled?????? both blame the other. I have just managed to get it sorted 3 weeks into the contract. I have rang customer service at CPW to confirm details they also say it is a 2 stage cash back 3-6mth.
There is a virgin sim at the moment on CPW with 750 texts on it with a 6mth bill to be sent in.
My first one worked i await to see if they try to get out of this second oneThe measure of love is love without measure0
