Ah, see you have a secret weapon, tell her she was right all along, as Angel & Dalip said, she will appreciate hearing that!

Hey I posted on here yesterday that there is a lot more to everybodys post and you have just proved it by your "confession". I too have a daughter of 26 who has just had her first clear 12mth smear(sorry if that is too much info for some)and worry that the treatment she had will leave her unable to have children. I lost my mum to the same cancer when i was 23(5 wks before my daughter was born/mums first granchild)and later i had that same cancer at 26 so no more children with my second hubby.
There are so many pieces that make the whole puzzle but here we only see(hear) the edge pieces. If you and your wife have made it ths far i can only say you must love each other enough to get over this "last" hurdle. I really hope she stands by you, from what you have said you deserve a break. Goodnight and godbless X

Hi jo - sorry I was away there at the dentist for a while. To answer your first q - good grief, me an accountant not. Have a fairly small business and although I do all the drudge work [saves money], the accountants prepare y/end stuff. They also stand-over anything submitted to HMRC and pledge to help in case of investigation by same. However, they do say everything is submitted based on my records and I have to sign that "info provided is true, acccurate, blah, blah", so I guess that would give them a let-out. Have you asked them if they will do this and more importantly do you trust them [or you may have stuff you'd be better off keeping to yourself]? If I have ever skirted "on the edges", and sort of mentioned it to the accnt, he just tells me he hasn't heard what I just said! As to DIY on-line tax submission, I really can't advise, but somebody may have experience of this.
Your 2nd q: there are two boards - 1] Cutting Tax, 2] Benefits & Tax Credits. Or, there is a 3] Small Biz and Charities board. If you post on one of these you'll either get someone who'll answer or point you in the right board direction. Sometimes you have to split up your questions and post them on different boards, rather than get all your answers in one! All will try and help.
