    * Easy withdrawl, available to you in a few days.
    How few days?

I've got some  cash I'll need for dental treatment in a few months, and it's currently earning sod all. I've got shares for longer term, and I'm not going to risk on the horses so premium bonds at least offer the prospect of a surprise £25, which my current accounts don't.

3 working days I believe, because it only matters if the premium bond is held on the 1st of the month you can set up withdrawals to happen as soon as the draw is complete, so you would know you need the money on the 20th it makes no difference if you withdraw it on the 2nd or 17th. Remember you need to hold them for a full calendar month before they are included in a draw, so a bond bought today won’t be in the draw till 1st of October, presuming your money is currently earning interest buy bonds at the end of the month.

I wouldn’t bother with them for low values (under 10k) or for short periods (under 6 months).

It's simply the second figure on each line (prizes) divided by the first (invested)....

It's simply the second figure on each line (prizes) divided by the first (invested)....

If you want to get the decimal point in the right place times the figure by 100.

    Eg,

    150.00 divide by 50,000 = 0.003 times 100 = 0.3

Maybe it’s not just me that searches the list of high value winners on the 1st, and tries to work out if I won any of them 😁
