People aren't 'investing' in Premium Bonds, though. Many here are using them as an alternative to a savings account because there's a chance that the prizes will amount to more than the typical easy-access savings account will pay in interest. That's certainly been the case for me.najan49 said:

The 2 winners of this months 1m prizes bought their bonds in Jan and Feb this year! Having said that one winner stuck 50k in and won, how jammy is that!
