For this financial year and I am on £350 return on £28,500. So that’s 1.23% return on the year - with still one chance left for a big win!

Well, you weren’t in so you couldn’t win. Either you believe premium bonds are a good idea or you don’t.
Yes, you probably wouldn’t have won the million, but you might have got a few hundred.

Your £30k had an expected return in January's draw of £25. So you've effectively paid £25 to have a neat list of irrelevant numbers???
