So do you get the phonecall on the first day of the draw if you've won the million ? One is in Suffolk , so i am still hoping !
I saw a programme on the TV about this once. Apparently they try knocking on your door at 6pm on the first day of the month, as being a time you're most likely to be in.
OH often asks if I got a knock on the door at 6pm on the first as he arrives home. Sadly it hasn't happened yet.Make £2025 in 2025

I still hold £2 bought decades ago. Has the cost of each bond risen since then or is it just the minimum holding that rose to £10?0
-
The minimum holding is now £100 (or £50 for monthly standing orders).0

They are still £1 each, just the minimum holding has risen.0 -
I had £1500 'invested' for the first month. Nothing. Then I increased it to £8,000. Nothing. Pretty much as I expected. I then increased it to £40,000, which is eligible for the July draw, and I have since put in the extra £10,000, so the full £50,000 will be eligible the following month.
I'm giving it up to a year with the full amount whilst I learn more about where to invest my money more sensibly, then if I haven't had average luck and 'won' £675 (1.35% of £50,000), then I'm going to whip it out of there and put it into my long-term investment portfolio (which I have yet to devise).0 -

points out, "The jackpots, won by a tiny number of people, skew the payout average and make the interest rate look far more generous".Stompa0 -
I am (or was) one of the people as described in the final paragraph, who thinks that a 1.35% return is on the cards!
It wouldn't surprise me if I had considerably less than whatever average luck ought to bring, which is why I'm not planning on leaving such a large amount sitting in there for too long.0
