Ive decided to give the PB's another go until April (then ill move the money into my ISA) £2550 eligible for the next draw, so fingers crossed for something, though from experience I expect nothing (was lucky to get £25 when I had a 25k holding earlier in the year (cashed them for a 1yr bond)0

Ive won a few times this year, I have very little problem with the returns, for the risk reward factor.
I dont play the lottery, so this is my little punt, it means I dont get carried away, its not instantly spendable.
Its just there... Now I have a large holding, I get excited checking.
one month I won twice.
At the end of the day you have to be in it to win it.
Im gambling with my sons inheritance... im sure he wont mind.Plan

Well, you're only gambling with it in the sense that (a) you are losing value due to inflation and (b) you might win more than you lose. At least you're not just sticking it on the lottery or the horses.
What I wonder is how much better return would they be able to offer if they optimised the prize postage? If I win 4x £25 prizes in a month, I'll get four individual envelopes, each with a £25 warrant and a "congratulations" note. Surely it's not beyond the wit of the NS&I computer to combine those into a single £100 warrant, maybe with a list of the individual prizes if there's some need to itemise them, and a single envelope and postage payment? And that way, I wouldn't be waiting for so long - this month I won 2x £25 prizes, one came last Tuesday, the other one yesterday.0 -
In an ideal world NS&I would have our banking details so that any wins could be paid straight into the account followed by an e mail of notification.
Heaven only knows their postal costs sending out hundreds of thousands on what will soon be worthless cheques for £25 -
A while back the minimum "win" was £50 but as income from the bonds decreased the powers that be thought it would be appropriate to double the low prize fund down to £25 to give the "feel good factor" - if it gets any worse wait until they reduce the minimum win to £10 - then we can all go and buy a couple of coffees and a Danish Pastry0 -
When I had PBs, up until a few months ago, any winnings were paid directly into my nominated bank account and I received an email notification
It might be worth your while checking this out0 -
I deliberately didn't mention direct payments into the bank as I wasn't sure whether they'd do it. Wouldn't you think the bit of paper they send out every month might say "wouldn't you prefer to have this direct to your bank account?"
Oh hang on. It does say that. I will do that I think.0 -

I wait for the email telling me if Ive got a prize (although sometimes the prize shows up in my linked account before I get their notification email), but Ive just logged into my NS&i account to answer your query and its showing 4 x £25 prizes for November!
Looks like its another unlucky month for you I'm afraid, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, better luck next time round.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0
