me too, lol
Our hopes of winning big one day are no worse than those of "respectable" people[STRIKE] investing in [/STRIKE]gambling on the stock market - - in fact, we are probably a lot more likely to make a decent return from our gamble than they are!0 -

Statistically this is obviously not true, returns averaging 1-2% for premium bonds and around 5-6% from stock market, but it's up to you.0 -

You might well be right with the bottom line result, but if you have £30K spare, why not do the Premium Bond gamble. You won't lose the £30K (not much of it, anyway), and you could make it to £1M....should be a no-brainer for any City-gambler0 -
It is costing you £1000 a year to enter.. If you are happy with you are fine..
I am starting to question spending £1000 of my money to enter a lottery with ultra slim chances.0 -

.
Yeah I have read the MSE article.
I have savings accounts, cash and S&S ISAs and a SIPP, so £30K in Premium Bonds seems a logical diversification strategy.
Hopefully it's not a K I lose every year - getting the odd £25 so-called "win", and may be more....but I agree with you, generally.0 -
Hmm, I suppose so, you should win £375 a year, so a £625 loss every year in a draw to win a big prize.0
