Can you buy premium bonds at a post office with cash?
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something

Yes you can, but a minimum of £100 is needed.

    Have a look at:
    http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/content1?catId=19300237&mediaId=19900190

Edited to say then you will have applied, but then application is then checked and approved before you get the bonds in the post, and remember they won't go into the draw until after the next full calendar month, so best to buy late in the month.

You cannot just walk into a PO and handover x pounds and receive the certificates on the spot.

You have to complete an application form http://www.nsandi.com/pdf/PB_App.pdf
Your identity has to be verified for money laundering purposes. NS&I may ask for documentary proof of address/identity. AFAIK you can purchase with cash.

The actual bond certificates would be sent to you via post. Once you have purchased some PB's, you can purchase more bonds quite easily.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Wow - just checked my holder's number for June and I've won £400!

I increased my meagre £1300 by £20k last month so this is the first draw they've been entered into (and I won £50 in April too).

My plan is to put any winning in my high interest savings account.
