Nowt on 30. Only the thought of possibly better ISA rates in months to come go against moving over another 20 next tax year - it's the choice between the certainty of regular income versus the 'fun' of receiving random amounts - plus the numbers - even a basic rate taxed EA account is higher than the PB median.

Without reading every post in this thread (I've gone back a little bit), has anyone won a million? Surely at least one ?

The question of high value prizes won by forum members does come up from time to time but I'm pretty sure that there haven't been any £1m ones reported - bear in mind that there are only 24 £1m prize winners each year (out of about 24 million PB holders) and the number of posters on the thread might have reached four figures, but only just…

And also, if you did win a mill, you'd probably not log back in to brag about it! I'd imagine you'd be too busy moving house and stuff..

I used to participate quite regularly in this thread, when I held £25-30k, and regularly had prizes, including one £1000. My holding has reduced over time (I've spent it) and my wins have dried up.

I began last year on £7500 and reduced it to £5000 in June. I've just won £50, my first win since January 25, which was also £50.

I'm not clear why I've left it running - I've an expected expense with an indeterminate timescale, and I've kind of earmarked the £5k for that, other than trying the checker once a month, I rarely think about it.

1 x £50 win this month on full holding from a £10,500 batch bought in 2021. That batch has now won £1,100 and 26 prizes.

£1,325 won so far this year from 9 prizes.

I would always leave my account open as they might want ID were you to close everything and then want to take a competitive Guaranteed Growth Bond if one comes along again.

£1 in a Direct Saver would be enough to keep your profile; not sure if you can draw down to 1 premium bond or whether it is the same as the purchase limit and had to be 25.
