Hi I just wanted to ask - is it true that if you pay for your Asda shopping with a Asda credit card that delivery is free
    Many thanks

Only if you spend over £99. When the card was first launched it was free over £50. I haven't used my Asda card since they increased the spend required.

I was just about to try ordering from asda again as its been a while and i just got an email with free delivery (already posted in here) but have to be honest every time i have looked i cant get a delivery date for days.. this time its thursday and can only deliver late saturday.. tesco is 10am tomorrow. It's a shame as i would have tried them again too.

    Hi,

I had the same problem until I finally got wise to what I am sure what everyone else who get the "prime" shopping slots must do:

    1. Several days prior to the delivery date you want log onto ASDA site.

    2. Book your delivery slot

    3. Fill your virtual trolley high with items to the value of £25 (the minimum order limit). A couple of mega boxes of nappies, for example should do it.

    4. Check out (they don't take any money off your card until the stuff is delivered).

You can then "change" your order as many times as you like via the "my orders" page (taking out the mega boxes of nappies and putting in something altogether more interesting like chocolate!) without losing your original delivery slot (as long as you don't let more than 3 hours elapse in each subsequent shopping visit), remembering to check out again each time. I suppose, if you were anti-social enough one could book multiple slots in this manner, though being a kindly soul I have never felt the need.

Remember, you can actually cancel the order up until 5pm the day before the booked delivery day.

This way, I manage to secure a 10-12 noon Saturday delivery without fail every week, by booking for the following week straight after a delivery. It also better suits my naturally chaotic shopping style, adding and subtracting items; those I need (nappies) against those I merely desire (chocolate) through the intervening days...

Hope this helps, but don't nick my slot, okay?

    TD.

Saw this code mentioned in a leaflet I got with the local paper yesterday:

Free delivery when you spend over £50 on groceries online.

    Code: M4-C2-67-43

Valid until 31st July 2007. Only one offer can be claimed per household.

  • Hi all, hope you don't mind me dipping into your forum but I started reading these last month whilst I was waiting for my first ASDA delivery and wondered if you could offer some advice please.

I had a 8-10pm time slot and no-one showed up, then of course the help line was shut. At 11.20 just as I was about to go to bed the van came and the driver was here till 11.50 attempting to find my order which was mixed in with someone elses.

The milk had spilt over everything including me and all the frozen stuff had defrosted and was warm as were all the other perishables.

    This was the 25th May.

Since then I have been trying to get in touch with ASDA by email, phone and going into the store but am unable to get a satisfactory response.

I spoke to 'somebodies colleague' who rather snappily asked me to explain how my goods were defrosted as they have refrigerated vans (????)

After a hell of a lot of chasing around I have managed to get a grudgingly offered miserly £10 compensation but the refund for the damaged goods which I had to throw away - I'm not eating warm defrosted chicken for anyone, even if ASDA 'very kindly' said I could keep it on the one rare occasion I spoke to someone -was only put into my account on the 21st June after I rang yet again.

I have tried writing to Head Office but have had no reply.

Am I really being unreasonable wanting to be shown some respect? For goodness sake ASDA, speak to me!

My husband says I should contact WALMART, what do you think?

I have to say-this is why i dont order my food shopping online now! safer to go in store, and pick fresh items/items with decent best before date on them etc and get them home in one piece!
