Hello. Please can someone take a look at his.
I shopped online at Asda and think they charged me for delivery, even though I had an evoucher.
£56.13 came out of my bank. My order sheet says the same, but the amount that comes out of my bank is usually minus the e-voucher, so I worked it out to be £52.13
    Sub Total £59.13
    Multisave Discounts £-4.84
    eVoucher Discounts £-4.00
    Total Delivery £4.00Order Adjustments £0.00Total
    £54.29
    The delivery note says £56.13

FROM Asda customer services (They got my name wrong and apologised for damaged goods? I never complained about that!)
I have checked and can confirm that you were charged the total amount of £56.13, you order value is £56.41.

Whos is right? I have only shopped a few times, but this has put me off, as I went overdrawn and now will get charged £20 by my bank.

    Thanks for any help.

Any long term subscriber to this thread you may recall my spate of bad service out of Manchester’s ASDA Eastlands Store, and nothing my new store in Ellesmere Port has done is really ever in the league of incompetence of that.

However, over the last couple of weeks I have had delivered to me several bags of shopping which didn’t belong to me, which I returned immediately to the driver (obviously, I’m way too honest), and have over several weeks had an excess number of items, again on each occasion I returned these to the driver. In summary, I didn’t complain and I returned all of it.

This morning I received a pack of nappies, in addition to those I ordered (which again I returned), fresh fruit packed in a bag with raw meat items, mouldy fruit, wrongly picked items, and wet shopping. Most of the cardboard packed items were only surface water damaged, but one particular box was so wet that the box had unglued and was sodden throughout. I accept that most was probably rain damage, caused on loading, as it wasn’t raining when the delivery took place, though one bag I am sure must have landed in a puddle or something. Of course, the majority of the problems only became apparent, when we were unpacking the shopping, after the driver had departed

    THE PROBLEM:

We phoned ASDA Customer Services, with the following issues:
    • Long standing issue of frequently mis-delivered items
    • Damaged items – with particular attention being drawn to a packet of cereal that was significantly water-damaged
    • Perished fruit item
    • Fresh fruit packed alongside raw meat
    • Item that had been mis-picked and wasn’t what I had ordered
    THE RESULT:

ASDA Customer Services wouldn’t help because (in their opinion) we had had too many refunds made to our card. The impression we were lead to infer is that they are under the belief that we are being in some way dishonest or fraudulent in our complaints. My defence is that if ASDA didn’t mess up my order so consistently, I wouldn’t have to request a refund and my ‘phone bill would be significantly lower as a result.

Surely poor service leads to frequent complaints, and certainly these should be investigated instore and resolved for the good of all customers?

The funny side is that ASDA Customer Services made US feel dishonest and managed to make us feel that we were somehow at fault. However, on reflection, if ASDA are really inclined to point the finger at anyone with accusations of impropriety of any kind, people employed in maintaining law and order probably are not the best choice. We haven’t even ever had a parking ticket, always pay our taxes on time and return wrong change. In addition, we are also kind to children and small furry animals...

Has anyone else experienced this response from ASDA Customer Services, and if so what happened?

They claim that the home store will contact me, however, when they have claimed this in the past it NEVER happens, and it hasn’t so far today either and the sun is well over the yardarm… TD.

This sounds like my experience with Tesco and they do made me out to be dishonest and said Id have too many refunds and in future no order would be sent to me until the manager had double checked the order.

It is very confusing to start with but evouchers dont show up on delivery notes but will come off the balance on the delivery note when its charged to your card. So it should work out that £54.13 will come out of your bank.

well after years of me being a very happy online asda shopper it looks like that's going to change.

A few weeks ago about 5 items I ordered (and were on the delivery sheet) weren't delivered. I phoned the customer services and was told someone would call me back from the store. No one did. I know which store my shopping is delivered from so I called them myself. Got and apology and a few hours later the store manager delivered my missing items in person on his way home. Brilliant! Thought it was probably just a glitch and one of those things so happily ordered my shopping again the next week.

Next delivery some of the substituted items were a bit "strange" I wanted bird seed, they subbed it for sand sheets that go at the bottom of the cage (yeah sure my budgie will love that to eat!), for bleach they sent washing up liquid (strangely enough I wasn't tempted to put that down my loo lol) and in stead of chicken and veg pies they sent vegetable pizza! Sent them back and got a refund.

This week ALL of my frozen goods were missing, phoned customer services was told they wouldn't send them back out (despite it being a large part of my shop) but would just refund me. 8.30 last night there was a knock on my door and it was another asda delivery van asking if I had some items missing, only problem was the items she had been told to bring weren't the items I was missing, in fact they weren't items on my delivery list AT ALL. She apologised and said someone would be out with my missing items today and that I will get a refund for them because of the hassle.

So far the items havent arrived, and it would appear from my asda online cc account I haven't been given a refund either (though I suppose it might be a bit early to say for sure)

It's such a shame because in the past I have defended and praised the home shopping staff at our asda. There have been a lot of new faces recently though, I wonder if they have a lot of new staff right now.

    thanks
I was charged £56.13, leaving me not enough money for a direct debit, so that was refused, plus my bank are now going to charge me £20.

I am going to ring them tomorrow but other than get my delivery charge refunded, I doubt they will cover my OD charge, that they caused.

The email with my name wrong was just taking the pee.
Do Asda realise this makes them seem bad.

I have only had a few minor problems, with things not delivered, or getting someone else things and have always got a refund.

The delivery people are always nice and helpful though.

when i first started shopping at asda online i ad very little problems with my orders. However over the past few months it has gotten worse. I have to ring up every time with a complaint about a missing item or other things. Biggest one is i order fresh meat which states price per 100g. I put what i want and they always do it wrong and try to charge me £7 or more over what i orderd. Also they are advertising that there prices are lower yet some things prices are jumping very steeply. I mean Asda smartprice jaffa cakes are now 72p from 36p, hot dogs went up 10p, and a lot of other stuff i used to buy on a regular basis have either been stopped or the price doubled. I do hope they get the tesco store in wombourne sooner rather than later.
  • I have shopped online with Asda now for over 6 weeks and have never received an evoucher!
I checked my details and i have ticked the correct boxes for promotions etc from them?
    Anyone else had this problem
