I think I should go back into retail. I use to love educating them! The only thing is I'd just probably end up punching an annoying one sooner or later. Yeah I should go back!:rotfl:0 -

I also worked in retail many moons ago and loved people going off on one trying to string the SOGA together, so it fit their complaint!!
Then the "going to watchdog" and "local papers" came out, which i loved even more! !
Guess what, where i worked was never in the paper or watchdog! !0 -

and some of us "customers" also have to deal with untrained, uninterested and rude retail advisors who wouldn't know what the SOGA was if we shoved it up their rear end with a spike on the endTherefore, "some of us customers" have to educate "some of the retail sector" on the law - IMO. There has been many a retail assistant I would like to have punched as well.
It works both ways0 -
have told all my colleagues to send customers who spout non existant rights to me, its great!

Next time you use my previous posts, please use quotations. There has been many a retail assistant I would like to have punched as well.
And what has that got to do with the SOGA?It works both ways
no it doesnt, the SOGA is the SOGA regardless of the way someone speaks to you or the level of customer service you receive.0 -
In answer to your post - YES Mobile phone companies are a law unto themselves.
We've had 5 replacement/repaired handsets in 12 months with the exact same KNOWN fault and no chance whatsoever of a "loan-phone", different model or a reduction in line rental for lack of provision of services.
IME T-Mobile have an acute case of NFI when it comes to customer service.
I see they've merged the 3G masts with "3" - Hmm....could be even more trouble ahead.
I guess that's the real price we're now paying for cheaper everything.....0 -

Well that wouldn't have happend if it had been me who delt with you would it!
It seems by the sog act being made up umpteen times on this forum that it works much more one way than the other, are you sure your not one of them?
Has it occured to you that those memebers of staff will have punched you back!0 -
I wouldn't entertain a mobile phone contract personally I always use pay & go. That way I can change suppliers and phones whenever I want, The phone can go back to the shop I purchased it for replacement if required.
I just see to many cases of people falling foul of contract agreements to try it.0
