I had a lovely holiday to Florida with Holiday Genie in Oct 09. Alamo rent a car charged me for the hire of the car that we paid holiday genie for and i've not been able to get the money back so far. I have a huge documented list of people i've spoken to and they are ignoring me and cutting me off instead of dealing with my problem. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! I am about to get hold of ABTA/ATOL to see if they can get my £1000 back for me.

The true test of a company is how they react when things go wrong. So you may be lucky and get the flight or holiday you bargained for, but once you join the long list of disappointed customers, you will soon wish you had booked with a reputable company who are keen and honest enough put things right.
As noted by many others, I have found Holiday Genie rude and obstructive in dealing with my attempts to obtain a refund for a flight that was cancelled by the airline at the last minute. If you manage to get through on the phone, the staff will tell you Alex Carter is the only person who can deal with the problem, but strangely he is always unable to come to the phone and never returns calls or answers e-mails.
So if you fell like taking a chance with your money, make sure you book with your credit card so at least they will be equally responsible for the failures of Holiday Genie to render services. Or better still, book with a trustworthy travel company and put Holiday Genie where they belong- out of business.

Hi there,
we booked with Holiday geinie 2 years ago from cardiff to florida,
stayed in a hotel that we had been before at a much better price.
i have to say it was one of the easiest bookings i had ever done, and may i add we had never booked on line before but they were amazing. we printed out our confirmation took it to the desk at the airport that's when we got our tickets we had a wonderful flight with good food and i will not be afraid to book with them again.

We have just back from our holidays... these guys are really amazing to be booked with them... well its too easy to have your reservation... just e-mail them and all the reservation will be done easily within hours . .. for next time .. I am also gonna choose holidaygenie for my holidays. :j

I used Holiday Genie a few yrs ago for flights to Sri Lanka(cricket).
No problems whatsoever.

This is a con artist company. They will take your money happily but not provide anything. Very frustrating. Avoid at all costs - can't believe still in business

I booked a £2,000 flight to NY with holiday genie. booked over the weekend and received confirmation email and my account was debited. I booked on Friday due to fly the following wed. On Monday afternoon I received a email from someone called Rupinder (no official company logo) saying transaction has been cancelled because my card wasn't issued in the uk. Followed by another email saying my card would be refunded in 3 days. The day of my flight!!

My card was a Metro bank card and issued in the uk. Called telephone number on my invoice. No reply. Visited the Holiday Genie website and got a different customer service number. A tired sounding sales assistant transferred me to said Rupinder. Rupinder said my booking was cancelled because I failed security check which is a contradiction to email sent to me.
Anyway from speaking to him it sounds like they oversold tickets and where not available. So now I have lost £3k of hotel bookings because I can't rebook until money hits my account on Wednesday.

Avoid this company like the plague.
