How do you make your profile private on facebook?

even if in a network u can still have a private profile.

Don't go putting anything on your profile that you wouldn't want on an ad hoarding in, say, Piccadilly Circus.

There's nothing that makes you input the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Logging things like your correct Mother's maiden name and your date of birth is plain stupid as that is key personal information used by banks etc.

I dont know if this is what you are looking for but you could do the following:


Go to ''privacy'' once you log into your account-there you can control who sees your:

profile
basic info
personal info
status updates
photos tagged off you

and so on.

For each of the above, you can chose the option of 'all friends', 'my network and friends', 'friends of frinds' and 'customize'

If you click on customize on the profile tab then you can actually set your profile so that no networks can see your profile.

What you want is the 'all friends' option so that only your friends can see your profile.

Apologies if you have already done this. On reading your post again it sounds liek you have! Just keep messing!
