Okies whose downloaded it then?
i did on Saturday and after downloading it it took !!!!!!!' 4 hours to install itself  i wouldnt mind but i thought it might be slightly faster than that :rotfl:
Seems fine here; Vista now correctly reports 4GB ram but I hear that SP1 breaks Zone Alarm so if you use that as your firewall you might want to hold off of installing it until CheckPoint have released the fix. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
You're right! Didn't notice that beforechuckles1066 wrote: »Seems fine here; Vista now correctly reports 4GB ram

Installed this today after sorting out minor Conexant driver issue, and it seems to be fine. Download was only about 70 meg but system is fully up to date with all Vista updates.
I have also noticed that my 3GB of memory now shows up correctly.
No problems detected at present.....0 -
I was thinking about insalling it but when I went to the MS site it recommended you wait to do it though Update - is there any real reason to wait ?
This being the place to download it from right ? It doesn't seem to mention if this is the 32-bit or 64-bit though !
I am running 32-bit on my laptop

That link is 32 bit.
There is no real advantage other than a smaller download - through updates it will only download the bits your computer needs - the full download downloads everything and just installs what your computer needs.0
