Anyone had problems gettng their PAC Code from o2
Just wondered if anyone had had any problems getting their PAC Code from O2. I phoned up Friday Lunchtime and they said 24-48 hours which is nearly up.
Reasons I am interested is:
It seems a long time to get a PAC code, previously I have done it on the spot. (Orange certainly and IIRC Vodafone)
A few years back I had real problems getting my PAC Code and had to contact Oftel(?) to solve the sitution. Usually quoting items from their code of conduct about freedom of keeping your number makes them buck up their Ideas (this was T-Mobile BTW)
I really want to get it sorted out - either by Carphone Warehouse matching the price instore (of their Carphone Warehouse Express website) or getting it ordered soon enough to allow delivery on Tuesday (one of my rare days off during the week)
Thanks In Advance
Russ

I had a similar problem with Vodafone. They said I had to wait 24hrs, but then I called back and another customer services rep gave it to me over the phone. Weird.
Just keep contacting them. Maybe write emails and letters in the meantime as well. Try going through another extension as well, like the sales line. They'll also try to persuade you to stay with them by offerring you nice deals.0 -
I'd already tried that, would have liked to stay with them but the best they could offer me was nowhere near what I could get elsewhereWycombe Till I Die0

they quoted a text within 24-48 hours to me also which never materialised, I rang back and they gave some b*ll!!!! about not being able to issue over the phone. After a bit more pushing about why exactly they couldn't they issued it over the phone. Basically they are just bandits and haven't a clue.(That said their porting team leaves a lot to be desired aswell so getting a PAC code is just the tip of the iceberg)0

I was told when I decided to leave them, after about five years, that I could only get a PAC if I paid another month's line rental. I've since discovered that this was simply a lie.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Well I have ordered my 3 phone and my PAC Code is due tommorow at around the same time as the phone so here's hoping it runs smoothly. If not I will just have to mention oftel/ofcom (whichever it is) and they will buck their ideas up
UPDATE: Got it today sbout 16.30, well within the time limit they had set. Fingers crossed that CPW deliver as promisedWycombe Till I Die0
