Is there a half term in October?

My friend is looking to go away in October this year, I was just wondering if there is a half term so that she can avoid that week

Does anyone know?

All LEA's vary with the exact dates for the october half term but I know that my children are off the last week in October.

If you look at brochures or check prices online they generally increase for the half term period - use this a guide.

How about doing a Google search for "October 2008 half term dates"?

Takes a lot less less time than posting on here.

Last year, ours (Staffordshire) were the last week in October, but our friends from Abergavenny were the first week of November.
