    Hi jig,

The Delonghi AC is not a current model; it's probably last year's stock that B&Q were trying to clear. There're unlikely to be any left now, but B&Q are selling their own brand air conditioners for similar prices - might be worth looking at those, especially with this weekend's 10% off everything!

Thanks xueta, oh well, well you have just saved me some run ning around, was after the delonghi and not the B&Q brand :(

Crownhill? Marsh Mills? What area/volume does it claim to cope with? Any info appreciated (phone-answering not their strongest point).

We got it at the Crownhill branch, when scanned they show up as £73.76, however they are then marked down on the box to £29. the checkout asst had to call a manager to give a further £44.76 discount.

i was told that these must be a manager special since o nthe system its still £73... they said they cannot price match it with their own store, only to a store that is within 10 miles from the store that i want to buy from.... really bad service with these guys.... oh well....

The model was the 8000 BTU mobile air conditioning unit (it requires external venting). The type as listed on the label is BQWA and the number from the barcode is 0337 8045.
    Hope this helps,
    Dave.

Thanks Dave. I'll take that in tomorrow and see what they've got.

For anyone chasing this up in North & West London...there are two stores showing stock (Enfield & Yeading) *however both are saying the price is 76 quid & the offer Dave posted about must be local to the Plymouth store.

B&Q central customer services suck (ie clueless)...their in-store staff are even worse (ie couldn't care a less!)
