My In The Night Garden Cake

Wow! You have a real talent :T
If you were looking to branch out, next few times your kids are invited to birthday parties, why not suggest that you make a cake as the present and word will soon get around how good you are and they'll be knocking down your door for one of your brilliant creations. (I know initially making the cake will be more expensive than buying a present but it's a great way of advertising and you'll only need to do it a few times for word to get around
)
Alternatively, go around mother & toddler groups with your portfolio

In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.

Have some sifted icing sugar handy and keep dusting your fingers in it for precision fiddling (could not think of anything better to say!) or your whole hand for bigger projects.

you can add a small amount of gum tragacanth or Tylo powder. Tylo powder is much cheaper but the gum is a natural product. This helps to harden the icing as well so that it's not quite as delicate. You can also roll the icing much thinner for delicate petals with this powder added as it helps strengthen it.princesspoppypop wrote: »Great cake!

You can also buy flower/petal paste for your flowers.(if you don't use it for a while put it in the freezer in a sealed bag as well as the bag it came in as it can dry out. You also need to work quick with this as it dries out quickly.
You can mix half of this with half royal icing and then you have modelling paste.:happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
