sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect the network connection. Just click on the little icon which has the two computer screens in the rh bottom of you screen it should offer a Disconnect from option, select that, when the little icon has a red cross on it, meaning disconnected, then click again and select connect.

I had this and found that my CPU was at 100% because of a dodgy host file process so I downloaded a patch and sorted it and also turned of automatic updates as they were causing an issue with the host files.

As said this was my problem and may not eeven have any bearing on your experience.

Edit: also maybe worth flushing the dns cache, start, run, type cmd, hit ok, then type, ipconfig /flushdns then tap enter and wait for result, then type ipconfig /release and wait for disconnection then ipconfig /renew and wait for reconnection

i may be having the strangest deja-vu but i think this is exactly a solution someone else described to me, word for word. Worked for me too once.
