NTL 3 for £30 confusion

HELP!! I'm so confused!

After speaking to NTL (30sec call wait - impressed!) I now get the impression that you pay £17.99 p/m for the broadband via direct debit & then get a bill for a family pack with a discount & all your phone calls....

which would make sense except the family pack costs £30 & i've only got a £9.49 discount showing on my bill - so 3 for £30 is actually 3 for £38.50!

This is just a normal months bill so its nothing to do with pro -rata etc - I cant find my old bills so can't check those!

Anyone explain this too me?

Ta!

I think it may be becuase its the base pack which is included in the 3 for £30 offer and not the family pack which costs more.
