Does anyone know if any of the supermarkets or electrical stores (i.e Currys) are open today on Easter Sunday?

No. None of the big shops are allowed to open, just small shops.0

WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO SHOPPING ON THE ONE DAY A YEAR SHOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO OPEN BY LAW APART FROM XMAS. Are the other 350 days in the year not enough?
Sorry but it really really bothers me people cannot survive for the shops being closed for two days out of the year (also i will say that I do not know OP situation, everything could have blown up and they really need the items).

I'll be pedantic then ...
Shops are allowed to open on Christmas Day ... and there are 365 days in a year (366 in a leap year).
As you said, you know nothing about the OP's situation. I can't believe you are judging someone just because they want to go shopping today!Gone ... or have I?0 -
More importantly, are the pubs open as normal?
Have a party to go to later and fancy making an early exit for the town!!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -

I can understand why good grief is nothing sacred any more just wait until tomorrow don't people realise what today means for millions of people in this country you may not agree with what easter stands for but at least show it some respect .0 -

I happen to agree with you, but I think OP also deserves respect for asking a perfectly straightforward question. No need to have a go at the OP!
To OP: I think most stores will be closed today -- best hope for you is 'selected' Somerfield or Co-op.0 -
Tesco Express is open!"Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0
