of course it's allowed! Although i personally would use lazy garlic rather than garlic paste. More expenxive but lasts for ages. Personal preference though :) x

  • Or a blended foodie. Better lazy garlic or garlic paste than no garlic.

I eat my first full portion of that butterbean soup today. Oh my WORD. It was so gorgeous and creamy and filling:j. I didn't bring any bread which I was raging at, but to be honest I didn't need it. Definitely will be making that one again.

    AKA Bubble and squeak soup!

Are you fed up with bubble and squeak and want a change?

Its the nicest idea we've had for a while, get the remains of a roast dinner, including gravy and yorkshire pudding and add veg stock, cook until warm, wizz up and you have beautiful soup.
We've roasted squash with our dinner the last couple of times and added that as well.
You can cube the left over meat and add that, adds another dimension.

I'm sure this is teaching you to suck eggs for most of you lot. :D

I made this a few weeks ago after lusting after it for months !Gorgeous isn't it ? My Mum thought I was completely mental..... I find it needs a lot of black pepper, but is simply devine. Reminds me , there is a portion in my freezer.

i was shocked I got two portions out of a couple of roasties, a carrot and some mash and a few bits of chicken. !

It really is lovely, just tastes like a roast dinner to me.
Loads of sprouts in ours yesterday, had it with HM bread. It did smell a tiny bit of sprout when cooking the remains up today, but you can't taste them.
Mind you, I love sprouts anyway, so I might not be the best judge.
Mmmm, black pepper on mine too.

Can't wait for next weeks roast now.

he he, mine mainly tasted like roast potatoes, but then again I adore roasties! A couple of years ago I would have thrown the remaining mash and roasties out. NOT NOW! There's meals in there waiting to happen!

It's nice done with chicken leftovers and the stuffing ...sagey (is that a word?) and great with crusty bread or thicker with mash.
