I have dust bunnies living and reproducing, well, like bunnies really, all over my floors.

Can't be bovver'd to do a thing about it!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

I can't see my bedroom floor cause we put up new wardrobes almost [STRIKE]a week[/STRIKE] 2 weeks ago  and I haven't got round to putting everything back yet :o

I have some tomatoes and half a pack of bacon on the turn in the fridge and i've given my mums dog the last bit of tuna mayo and cheesy coleslaw that I had in the fridge. (i'm an irresponsible dog sitter, but he seemed to enjoy it :o)

I also...ahem...threw away almost a whole leg of lamb this afternoon cause i hadn't covered it and put it back in the fridge yesterday and its dried out.

I agree with Fozz - but would also really encourage you to try to eat properly if you can - skimping on meals or making do with things like scrambled eggs on toast or grazing from the fridge just add to a general physical sense of feeling run down, as you won't be getting proper nourishment - and, just as importantly, in my opinion, it's tied up with a sense of self worth/self validation. You're worth spending time on, and cooking a simple hot meal then sitting down and eating it - hopefully enjoying it - is one of life's essential pleasures. Even better if there's people around to share the hour or so that it takes to cook and eat together. What else is there in life that so quickly repays the time you spend on it?

I know but I am just feel so tired when I get in from work. Today was really bad as I had to do go in to town at lunch time. Lunch was two packet of crisps and a big bag of peanut M & M's :o Umm tea was frozen mash and mint sauce. Followed by a huge tia maria and coke with another couple of bags of crisps and finger of fudge.

I think I know where the problems stem from. The last couple of years have been horrible. Starting with my husband having a stroke in september 2007 and it has been so much fun since

Will toddle off to bed in a little while as I feel so tired.

Well, I'm not a bit surprised you're tired; I'm finding it hard to resist the urge to roll up my sleeves, get into the kitchen and knock up some sandwiches for your freezer and a casserole for tonight, drive round to your house and force feed you - all of you! It sounds like its been pretty hard going - and two years is too long to soldier on alone; I know I'm labouring the point, but please read back your last couple of posts to yourself. If a friend was writing this, what would you advise her? Try to take some time for yourself, because to me it sounds like you're exhausted and perhaps a bit run down into the bargain.

I am happy being more Oldstyle but I do find I am so tired. I am much more organised than I used to be and the benefits for the family are very evident. My downfall is the laundry. It just piles up and getting the energy to do the ironing is a challenge. At the weekend the house looked a wreck. I have had a blitz today and it looks better. Working an extra day has really had an impact. I hope to reduce my hours again soon.

I know. if it was husband or someone else I would have told them to go to the Dr's or go away for a few days. The second one is not possible for me as I have no one to keep an eye on my husband for a couple of days while I am away.

I am starting afresh today have brought my lunch with me and I am going to cook tea to night as well. No matter how tired.

My raised beds are being sorted out my father so one less thing to do.

Thanks for your concern. I really don't have any friends so no one to talk too. And the person who should be supporting me is the one I am caring for. Fun or what .

    But hey ho.

Hi Simpy - told you it was a great thread.

Trouble is I've had difficulty tearing myself away for the last couple of days and just when I thought I'd broken the back of it, someone pointed me in the direction of Hesters blog. I finished reading that this evening and must find another long thread asap so that I don't have to start on anything vaguely houseworkish......not that I need [STRIKE]much[/STRIKE] any excuse. ;)

(Hester your blog is an amazing read btw  - I've enjoyed every minute of it. You really have a talent for the written word).

    Where to start?

Neither myself nor DS1 have any underwear on today as I stayed up playing on the kids play station last night and forgot to put it in the tumble dryer.

My wardrobes are empty as everything we own clotheswise is in 3 huge ironing piles- kids have grown out of most of the stuff at the bottom.

We are having indian takeaway, delivered tonight for tea.

My washing up hasn't been done- its all around the house and in the garden as I can't be bothered to collect it all up and put it in the dishwasher.

Any food that comes out of microwave smells of kippers as some expoded in there a couple of weeks ago and I haven't got round to giving it a good clean.

My bathrooms a disgrace- its shocking.

I am going to do an extra shift at work (sitting down, easy job) so that I can afford a cleaner on fridays- so the house will be spotless for the weekend, and I can watch the kids slowly trash it again.

There is no fruit at all in the house- not even any tinned.

And the worse thing is I'm not even exhausted or tired at the moment, just plain lazy.
