I've been very lucky ampersand - the guys here have been fab and done it all without a word of complaint or even a raised eyebrow :)

Sorry that you've lost so much stuff - hope you get it all sorted soon :)

I hold my head up.... I fancied something unhealthy & we didn't have anything in the house except raw ingredients so I made cakes :) (anything to get away from putting away all the clean dry washing, and I hang it back down again in shame).

So glad I'm not the only one with dog wee stains - only mine are on the carpet in the hall. I will be hiring a carpet cleaner now we're on a DMP and I can afford it as not all our money is going on CC bills.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

    Great thread

Decided to check my fruitbowl, which I found contained

    Post it notes
    Pen
    2 date labels from pies
    3 Christmas tree decorations
    cardboard protector for sharp knife
    tupperware lid
    unknown plastic top
    tin opener
a piece of ginger (bought a couple of weeks ago to make a ginger drink)

Well, I now have a fruitbowl which has my sharpest knife with it's protector on and the piece of ginger - perhaps I could combine the two and make that drink at last

    cheers!

Grind to a halt days: the days ...like mine today...when you have plenty to do you just can't seem to face doing it because your tired/cold/uninspired.

    These often occur in clusters.

Just discovered this thread and have spent the last hour howling with laughter at your posts - can I join in?

I don't have too much to offer at the moment, though the house is really untidy, but I just keep stuffing things into cupboards and telling DD not to open them....

However, I am busy trying to write an essay for my OU course, and my DH has been away for 3 days, so no-one has done any washing up......earlier, I needed to fill the kettle, but couldn't get to the tap, so I've piled all the dirty plates, dishes, cups etc into a large plastic bucket and put it on the back yard to wait for his return. (I did see my cat giving them a lick as she went past, so that's taking care of the worst of it ;))

Does this count - is it good enough for me to join you (she asks anxiously!)

    xxJo

is it possible to give yourself a hernia through laughing too long and hard? because if it is, I have one. I'm off to lie down now, sod the washing, the laughing has worn me out.
