I put some stardrops on a stained top earlier and I've just thrown it in the machine, 5 individual items all with stardrops on and I've got a machine full of suds
Maybe I should have put a towel or two in as well
At least I know the seal on my WM is very good - no escaping suds....yet

shoeclean. I dyed some of my ds's jeans black this week. Although dylon promise it wont affect the wm, make sure you check inside the rubber seal as a lot of black had gathered inside mine. Luckily I spotted it. I bought dylon in asda £4.01 a pack.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

A tip for killing bubbles...
..ordinary soap.
It bursts all the bubbles pretty quickly.
I overdid the stardrops in my DW once. Having noticed a long time ago that once you start using soap when soaking in a bubble bath the bubbles disappear like magic I thought I'd give it a go... just cobbed the bar in and left the machine to it's own devices for a couple of minutes. Problem solved. Rescued the bar of soap, did a rinse and then got on with an ordinary wash.
For a washing machine - you may not be able to open the door. So grate a few shavings of soap and put them in the soap drawer and wash them down with a pint of water. Let the machine carry on tumbling to mix the soap in. (Not that I've ever had to do this but I'm fairly sure it will help.)Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I once had a flatmate who cleaned the kettle with washing up liquid. Goodness knows what he was thinking. I only realised when I boiled some water and suds flowed out everywhere. :rotfl:0

uhoh... I used some bubble bath to clean the toilet about an hour ago.... better go flush and check!0

phew! It's ok, I only used a tiny bit and it was cheapo stuff, but I will be careful in the future - thanks for the warning :-)0
