I need advice on how to print mini labels. I have brought blank Avery labels, and I tried to download there free software, but a message said (Microsoft word or higher not found on this machine set up will terminate). I have microsoft works on my xp computer, and tried to download from my printer but couldn't get small labels to print. The size of the labels I want to print is 38.1 x 21.2 mm for return address.
I would be really pleased if I can get some advice. Thankyou in advance.

Which version of MS Word do you actually have installed? There are some suggestions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2883870

The good thing about Avery labels is that they also give you a template with all the measurements to allow you to create a template in your chosen program.
If Works doesn't have the L7651 (at a guess) template then you should be able to create one. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Does not Works include Word among it's programs? Without Word you cannot use the program that depends on Word. Check your program grouts to see if in fact you do have Word somewhere. The Avery program sometimes falsely reports it is not installed even when it is.0

Nope. Word is only available as a standalone or bundled with Office, but not with Works.
OP - can you create a table in works? If so, you simply set all the margins to zero and create a table to fill one sheet of A4, with the number of rows and colums matching those of the label.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

Looks like you can design and print direct from the Avery website
This produces a pdf which you can then save, if you want to.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

Avery templates in Word are simply tables so the same can be achieved in Works. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
