So poss Icesave..i started this proccess at the beginning of feb. If I now do nothing...just leave it...will it all just eventually expire?

The more people that post indicating a problem between Icesave and "someone else" would indicate a problem at Icesaves end as it cant always be "someone elses" fault.

Later posts on this linked page u will notice is a problem with Icesave and "someone else".

Never leave anything, u might like to follow the suggestions i made in above linked thread.

The money is still with Barcleys in my account and hasnt gone any where!

So although the icesave account is open ready for transfer...

my moneys not going anywhere at this moment in time.

Barcleys say they always send a letter to confirm that i want to indeed transfer to safe guard mix ups and fraud.

Me too. Got my statement today as well, but had no other letter from them. Last lap now, with Nationwide!

If there's been no movement from A&L and Icesave wrote to you to tell you they'd requested the money, how can it be Icesave's fault? Have you called A&L to find out what they're doing and if they received the transfer request?

If they stated it would take 4 weeks don't worry, they will backdate the interest, if they don't, complain :)
No, unlike other providers Icesave don't backdate. They start paying from date of receipt of cheque so if post is delayed or the cheque gets lost then the loss could be significant.
I recommended elsewhere that people transferring to Icesave should try their luck and get their providers to send the cheques by special delivery.Worked for me but then decided against the transfer.

Tried to ring icesave ....cant get through...emailed them twice...no reply as yet...went in to my local barcleys the lady at the counter couldnt help me gave me a number for their isa team...

got home and rang them...and rang....and rang...listerned to their awful music for 15 mins ....then gave up...

I got a letter from IceSave today, saying they've written to Barclays to request the transfer of my mini cash ISA. The letter is dated 4 April, and states that Barclays have 30 days in which to complete the transfer.

I posted the transfer form to IceSave on the 8th February, I can only assume IceSave have been inundated with transfer requests.

Needless to say, I have fingers, toes, eyes even, crossed that the transfer goes through smoothly. :D

Nice to see I'm not the only one having Barclays to Icesave problems.

It's taken well over the 30 day limit for the transfer to start.

The money left Barclays last week, but hasn't appeared in the Icesave ISA yet.

How long do you think I should wait before contacting Icesave???
