I've just created a simple gas units to kWh conversion table in MS Excel if anyone cares to try it out, you can get it from HERE.

You'll have to have Excel installed to use though.
    units2kwh.jpg

Just enter previous and current meter readings in the corresponding boxes (blue & green) and it will calculate total units and convert them to kWh.

Don't worry about entering data into the wrong cell and messing the formulas as only the above mentioned cells are unprotected.

If you need to alter either cell A8 or A9 then the password is 'mse' (without the quotes).

Let me know if any errors in the formulas.

A major point is that you have used Imperial Gas Meter units where 1 unit = 100 cubic feet.(approx 32kWh)

The majority of meters are now Metric where 1 unit = 1 cubic metre(approx 11.2kWh)

All meters will soon be metric as there is a program to replace the old Imperial meters.

    Any better?

The total kWh comes out slightly different, but I assume that's with the various conversions used.

    Anyway,

No it is still not working.

The Imperial(cu ft) meter is correct 1 unit is approx 31kWh

However the Metric unit should be approx 11.2kWh

    Sorry about that!

Only had mine to go by.

HERE is another with both cubic feet & metres.

I noticed the mistake, but pressed SUBMIT by accident. You must've replied just as I deleted the post.

Anyway, I've changed it a little is it any better now?

1 Cubic Foot is showing as 32.08 kWh
1 Cubic Metre is showing as 11.08 kWh
