My OH has gone to the club to watch the Man Utd match and I'm guessing now the Chelsea match. I've told him I'm doing braised steak in the SC (big lovely large steaks), dumplings, roast potatoes, gravy and root vegetables. I treated us to beef from Abel and Cole as it's Easter so I'm a bit miffed.

No doubt I will get a call at about 6.30 to get him. I shall go and get him but if he falls asleep as soon as he gets back, I'm going to eat mine, batch up the rest and freeze it all before he falls asleep. If he can't be bothered to spend any of Easter with me, he can have beans on toast for his dinner!

Some might say - let him walk, but it's about 3 or 4 miles and I don't see why I should wait around for him to turn up whenever he feels like it.

Well my dear hubby is making a lovely Sunday dinner .....I have him well trained ;o)

Last time my OH made a Sunday dinner was on Mothers day with our two teenage boys. They were just about to put the chicken in the oven when I spotted the giblet bag still inside!! They thought it would just melt in the oven and be OK:eek: I also thought is was best to enquire how long they thought it would take to cook...they said 20 mins:rotfl: it took them three attempts at re-reading the packaging to realise that it was 20 min per 1lb.

OH has also eaten raw bacon in mistake for ham..Scary.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
