Just taken automartonline to court and won!!!

I went through the small claims track and it was surprisingly easy. I was awarded cost and all my money back. The Judge deemed that what they are doing is wrong.

I would recommend going down this route if you have been scammed by any of these auto companies, the court will almost always judge in the individual's favour.

I wasn't concerned about getting my money back, I just wanted to make things awkward for the company, and if everyone that has been ripped off went down the small claims route the company would really have their hands full.

I think they are in the process of winding the company up, but I'm sure another company will emerge with the same set of Directors - Just go down the small claims route if you get scammed!!!!

Nobody from Automartonline turned up on the day of court, they gave their evidence prior to the court date. The Judge listened to the tape recording of the original conversation and stated:

"Having listened to the discs supplied I can fully understand why the claimant beleived he was dealing either directly with Autotrader or an organisation closely connected thereto. The defendant is in my view seeking to take advantage of a similar name. I am entirely satisfied that the claimant should have been entitled to a refund."

Thanks for the info. Please let me know how they get on, as of yet I can't seem to find any information on the case??
