Orange Refer-a-friend

Options
Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of changing my phone (P900 on O2 to SPV C500 on Orange) and have heard that there is some sort of "Refer-a-friend" scheme?

Anyone care to shed some light?

Phil

are you already on orange? if so you can refer a friend but if not and you know some one who is get them to refer you, there is certain forms to fill in also if you have an old handset you get £50 off your bill(dont take a good one in though an old one which still works will do) if you are recommended you will get another £50 off and your friend will get £25 off with everything it adds up to £125 not badbetween the two of yous hope this all makes sense mind you after all that not sure if offer is still on!!!!!!

the only thing to weigh up is the refer-a-friend and trade-in offers are I believe Orange Retail only(i.e. the shops on the high street), thus you should also check out Orange Shop online for their online only offers whereby the line rental savings/phone prices/bundles may offset the savings at Orange retail, all depends on what sort of deal you were after as either way could be beneficial(also the cashback offers from the non-Orange retailers (E2Save, OSPS etc) may also have offers with cashback to weigh up, just to bear in mind thats all
  • I was looking to buy online through the Orange website so I don't know if any of this is possible! I'll go down to an Orange store this lunchtime and see what they say - the deal I am after is only available until 30 October 2004!

I'll post the results of my encounter.

  • Philbarnes - Sorry that this is off topic, but I just wondered what you thought of the P900, I currently have a P800 (which I Love) with Orange and am about to phone them to see what it would cost to upgrade to P910. Thanks
Why do companies offer you "free gifts?"
Since when has a gift NOT been free?
  • Turns out it is only possible at the Orange stores. I managed to get £25 for my other half and £50 for myself (and a further £50 for an old Nokia 5110 I had) and a free SPV C500 so pretty pleased with myself.

Now selling my P900 on eBay - too big I decided, even though the touchscreen is a boon.

mrvolleyball: P900 is great but it's a little big IMO - it was a great replacement for my iPAQ and T68 but the SPV is alot smaller. PM me if you're interested in buying my one!!! There's a new one out, the P910, but they're quite pricey even as an upgrade :( Have a look at the SPV...

    Phil,
    what's your line rental cost?
I was thinking of going orange having seen the 12 month half price rental deal, which would get me a nice Sony Ericsson K700 or Nokia 6230...
I've been O2/BT cellnet for about 12 years, so I'm a bit nervous re coverage etc (living in the frozen north of Perthshire). :-/
    thanks

    .
  • i went for the 120 minutes a month to any network and 250 texts a month deal which is £25 a month. (with £100 credit on my bill)

have now sold my P900 for £220 which almost pays for 9m of rental charges :) but I think I'm going to buy a new camera instead!
