I am looking at splitting a room in the house into two to make a study. Only looking for a temporary solution.
Has any one got any ideas on the best way to do this?

Maybe you could get one of those lights from ikea, floor ones which are long in a block...not explaining myself very well am i !!!
Or maybe a thin curtain going across?
Or one of those sort of victorian type dressing blinds? They are very pretty.:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -

I like the curatin idea but how would the curatin work across the middle of a room? the room is about 2.2m wide. what sort of rail would i need?0 -
You could either screw curtain track or pole to the ceiling or Ikea sell very thin curtain wire which could strech across the room. It would only support sheer curtains though, nothing heavy.Herman - MP for all!0

Curtain wire is a good idea, maybe get a nice pretty veil in the colour of the room to go across?:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0

You can get extendable shower curtain poles that don't need screwed to the wall, they just fit between two walls and are held there by pressure.
Not sure what length they go up to. I have one in my bathroom at the moment.....easy and reliable, but wouldn't take anything too heavy though.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Thats al i need, just to give me a bit of space to think when working from home.0 -
How about a screen? This is what I use as I have a long through lounge & use one end as a study. My study area is screened off, but the screen is easily folded back when I want the room to be 'whole' again. If you particularly want to go across the whole width of the room you could use 2 screens. They are available in a wide choice of styles to suit all tastes & I'm sure you'd find something you liked. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
