Funny, when I put my card in it just laughs at me!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
no they are open tomorrow... normal sat hours...
My 2 banks aren't open on a Saturday, not branches near me anyway, not all branches of banks are open on a Saturday you know?
OP, sorry this has happened to you, its sods law it always seems to happen when there is a bank holiday isn't it?! :rolleyes:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
The HSBC in-branch coin counter ate my Natwest card recentlly. It was set to do so!
When I got my card back I was told "it's for our customers only".
I replied "well I thought I might be able to use it if paying a small fee (like in the supermarket ones) or if not you could just set it to give the card back. Eating up competitior cards justs wastes everyones time".
I was given a dirty look and asked to leaveThey say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

It depends on where you live! At my flat in the City (aka dumpy student halls) all the banks within walking distance are closed. Back home most are open on Saturdays. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

No lol, I live in a town and I'm about a 10 minute train ride from Liverpool City centre. (I'm on the other side of the Mersey)
I don't even know if my branch in Lpool is open on a Saturday but there is no way I'd go over there on my own anyway(that's the nearest co-op branch to me anyway, thank God I've never had to go there!)
I do all my banking online so don't really need counter service or saturday opening.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Since when has it been possible to make a deposit through another banks cash machine? Its never been possible through the normal machines (cash/cheque in an envelope) so why would it be possible with the coin machine. I would have thought thats rather obvious.0 -

I think you have misread the post. Coin machine, like they have in supermarkets.....meaning you can exchange coins for cash. Why jump on somebody and be patronising if you do not understand what they were actually trying to do!
Anyway back on the subject...not all banks open on a saturday regardless of whether they are the sticks, usually in smaller towns or quieter areas they do not open. Although there are talks to change opening hours, to be open all day on a saturday and up till 8pm on a week night in busy areas.0 -
