Thanks for this information, as even though I advised some friends of mine to use the tmdeal to get cheap tickets to see the show, they say they can get cheaper on ebay. I have just warned them (I did b4 as Kleinsherry has mentioned may be prob with ebay tickets, but maybe take more note now!). I was curious, after your post and looked at ebay and I suppose I am naive, but was shocked to see someone selling a guide on how to apply for complimentary tickets for £14.99 (with obviously no guarantee of tickets disclaimer) and others offering the half price codes mentioned for free on here for £4.50. I also see the sellers selling tickets, have only been registered on ebay for a short time and the one using the show name has had very little recent feedback despite having a lot of tickets up for auction. I feel so sorry for those people who have bought in good faith altered confirmation tickets and find that they may be turned away from the show or worse still, caught up in a fraud investigation.

That is disgusting! How do these people get away with it?!?!

If I'd bought tickets on ebay and then found out that the seller had received them on a free-for-all website, I would file a claim and leave them negative feedback. Surely when the buyers recieved a confirmation email stating "complimentary tickets" they will realise? Afrika should put up a sign on the entrance or a message in the confirmation emails stating that the complimentary tickets were given out free via their website to anyone who applied. Maybe then these Ebay sellers will get negative feedback, and paypal claims.

Afrika should also report this to Ebay. I can understand why they were so strict when it came to checking ID now.

Thanks Kerry, maybe that's why so few are getting complimentary tickets now. What did you hear them say exactly, did they mention anything about cancelling complimentary tickets? That would be a shame, surely they still need to fill the venue!

I just had another look on ebay, one seller named 'afrika promotions' is selling alot for most dates, so I thought they might be official, but they are also selling dirty dancing tickets. I actually almost bought some if I didn't read this so thanks!

I also agree that Afrika should report this to ebay to remove those listings so that people don't turn up disappointed!

Perhaps they havent actually been giving out tickets in order to try and catch people circumnavigating the rules and using fraudulent confirmations. Its good to see people getting tickets again though.
