Free Calls for Landline to Landline

I have had a quick look at the existing chat and apolagise if this has already been discussed but can anyone tell me who I can sign up to for the best deal for free anytime calls Landline to Landline.  I've found Toucan at £9.99 a month.  I've seen the 1899 and others similar and they may be best but there is always a connection charge.  Any ideas.    ???

Toucan looks good Terry at £9.99 per month for free calls. Mind you, you comparing that with any of the providers that charge 1p connection then talk free, under Toucan, you would have to make nine hundred & ninty nine calls to equal 18866 for instance, only when you've made the thousand'th call, could you say you're in profit !.

Thats what I thought, that the 18866 would be best, but thought that martin and the rest of you amasing money savers may have spotted something else.

This is an fantastic site by the way. Well done to Martin and the rest of you. I would like to contribute more but usually can't add anything to all the excellent research and comments. ;D

There are a couple of other possibilities (although saving a massive 1p per call won't amount to much for most people).  They are:  

Sign up (free - and there's a £7.50 Cashback if you're a GreasyPalm member and TalkTalk give £25 to whoever refers you [check out the Referrers Board] and £10 to you) for Carrier PreSelect on TalkTalk1+ before the end of October and get free evening and weekend calls to UK 01 and 02 numbers for 12 months.  

Sign up (free) for Carrier PreSelect on OneTel StandardUKTalk and get free weekend calls to UK 01 and 02 numbers and free (118111) Directory Enquiries when calling from a registered landline.

With either of the above, use of 1899 and/or 18866 cuts the cost of weekday (and weekday evening in the case of OneTel CPS) calls to UK 01 and 02 numbers (to 3p and 1p flat rate respectively.
