I would recommend you try your local Indian supermarket/cash and carry, but go for a big shop, i believe we picked up a huge tin of pure vegetable oil 15 litres for £6.50! this was from Mina stores in East london located on Romford road and also onece from Quality Foods on Southall broadway.
I might even consider doing the same for my brothers car which is i think 11 years old, a little fiat we will be scrapping in a few years anyway! Anyone think its safe to do this?:eek:FunkyFeet:eek:Elite 5:2 #190 -

PETROL???? Are you sure? We are talking about diesel vehicles here aren't we?
I was horrified when I went into my local Tescos earlier this week to see that they are now charging just under £1 a litre for the 3 litre bottles of veg oil. Didn't see any cheaper than that. I'll obviously have to shop around.0 -

There are a number of diesel vehicles which will run on straight vegetable oil. Apparently the original diesel engines were actually designed to be run on vegetable oil. The cheapest way to do this is to get hold of used veg oil from a local chippy, which can even be free, and then 'wash' it. If you want more info please visit http://vegburner.co.uk/examppo.htm but officially there is the need to pay tax on fuel that is used in a vehicle to drive on a public road.Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0
