Think I've taken it to the extreme!

I read Martin's 3 lessons book yesterday, one of the lessons being that the company is not your friend - my new mantra. Well today I was overcharged 70p in Hobbycraft for 2m of ribbon extra.
I went straight back to the cash desk to sort it out. The supervisor was amazed I wanted it back saying that it is only 70p, I said 'yes, but it is my 70p' Normally I would have got in the car and not have given it a second thought - I'm getting worried about myself!

Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:

no, if you want to worry it's when you spend ten minutes in tesco argueing with yourself over whether to complain that your bucket was labelled at £3.97 and you were charged £4...now THATS bad!0

i wouldve suggested she give you 70p from her own pocket and see if it mattered ...but then i am a pain in the bum0

At least you noticed- I hardly ever check receipts
Guess I should start really… It just proves you are a true DFW!

Yep. I complained once over 10p. As you put it, it MY 10p.0

I also check receipts and bring it to a store's attention if I'm overcharged, even by a small amount. To my way of thinking, if I'm being overcharged on an item through a computer cash register error, then lots of other people may be as well. Which means it adds up to a lot more than 10p in the long run.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0
