Knoppix - Quick question please.

I need to download this to test something on my laptop. But how do I download it!

Do I just choose one of them and download it?

I would download the KNOPPIX-FAQ-EN.TXT & KNOPPIX-FAQ.TXT, this would I guess be the instructions?

then burn the ISO (image) file to a Cd, use IMGBURN if you do not have a burned that will do ISO's

Using it to diagnose whats wrong with my other laptop. Basically it wont boot fully, it loads the intel screen when pressing the power button, then its just a black screen and wont go futher.

I can go in to safemode options but when I try going futher, it starts listing the drivers, gets half way down the list and stops. Going to see if I can install knoppix, if it installs then I know its something to do with my OS, if not I can see if I can use the memory scan so see if my memory is fubar'ed.

Aknot, baby oil is on BOGOF at Asda if you need some.

you can boot from the Knoppix CD, no need to install it on the Laptop

just change bios settings to boot from CD first

I didn't mean install lol dunno why I said that. I mean boot from disk. :rotfl:

Change BIOS? Joyful, you mean tell the laptop to do CD driver first? I have so got to remember how to do that.

Or hope you remind me.

On boot tap Del or whatever to get into the setup/cmos/Bios whatever you call it and go to boot order and set CD to boot first then come over here and rub some of that oil on my !!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
