Hey - desperately need some advice!!

Brought a sony laptop on 11/3/8 for £650 - my husband has just seen on the internet that currys (where i brought it from) and pc world have reduced it by £150. I'm furious . I sure this has happened to others. We are going to go to currys tomorrow to discuss the reduction - please can anyone give me any advice to get the £150 back.

My advice - don't check the price of something you have already bought!

Would you be willing to pay £150 more if they had increased the price?
Gone ... or have I?

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Can you not tell them you want to return the product? Then you will get back your £650. Then only consider if you want to buy from them again?

I've checked Currys price promise and unfortunatley it's only if within 7 days of purchase they will price match a competitor.

It's like dmg24 said, at the time you were happy to pay the price.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Did you use a credit card because some of them have a price match policy?
Price Match Guarantee - if you buy something in the shops but then suffer the frustration of finding it cheaper elsewhere within 60 days, you could be entitled to receive a refund the difference.

This has happened to me, with a fridge freezer and the difference as £300.00

I spoke to the manager and was given £300.00 off a T.V.

It,ll depend on the manager i think...?
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean Easyjet aren't out to get me

Why do you think you are owed £150?
"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"
• Oh no - stuff goes down in price after you've BOUGHT (brought is to bring something) it, I never thought that would ever happen

There is a comparison site i usually take a glance at when buying white goods etc ,called Nextag. It shows how the prices of a product have varied over the previous 12 months. You can then compare and decide if you really need it NOW. For example,I have noticed that items are generally more expensive (according to that site) at the new years sales (a time we traditionally believe we are getting a bargain). Buyer beware.
