Orange World...Is it just me, or is it really poor value ?

I have never used any internet stuff on my mobile phone before, but I finally decided to give it a try, and as I am on an Orange contract (Dolphin 35) I checked out Orange World for my mobile phone.

I have to say, it seems very expensive for what you get, and not at all flexible.

Unless I have mis-read it, you get three choices:

1. £1/day (equivalent of £30/month) - No thanks !
2. £5/month - but only for evenings & week-ends - Again, no thanks, I want to be able to use it anytime.
3. £8/month - Yay, can use it anytime, but hang on a doggone pickin' minute - 30Mb[/b]/month...30Mb/month. You've got to be kidding !

So is that it. Is that all that Orange offer ? if so, that's appaling.

Am I right in saying that "Three" have a £5/month mobile phone internet access package that allows you to use it 24/7 with a 3Gb/month limit ? I'd sign up to that in a flash if Orange had it.

So, am I stuck with those Orange choices ? (none of which I intend to go for, by the way).

Many thanks,
Kevin.

    Many thanks,
    Kevin.

You are indeed stuck with these choices for Orange. Note that they, collectively, are still cheaper than paying by-the-megabyte, as Orange make you pay for the nose for that.

T-Mobile do a 'Web and Walk' deal for internet access, 3 do one too. Can't find anything on Vodafone, o2 or Virgin but I've not looked very hard, to be honest.
