And Poppy10 is the first one to post about "the kids" mindless vandalism? It's behaviour (and attitudes) like that, that are copied by kids. Think about the environment maybe? trying to justify such behaviour is unbecoming in someone who regards themselves as an adult. Please try and look at the bigger picture and rise above such petty vindictiveness........otherwise your mom will hold back your comic book allowance.
NB Tiscali Tv and Broadband is what I use to get Decent Tv reception and I live in Central Londontribuo veneratio ut alius quod they mos veneratio vos0 -
Just cut the cable or move the direction slightly if you *really* have to do anything to spite your landlord.
I don't advocate destroying useable items, especially when it could be used by a poor family moving in afterwards.

If you smash it and leave it at the property your landlord is entitled to deduct the cost of its removal from your deoposit......I certainly wouldn't want a piece of unusable metal dish on the outside of my property.0 -
We had the same prob from the house we last moved from, i can sympathise!
We HAD to get sky as nothing else would pick up but that was a nightmare too as it just kept crashing, we were paying out around £75 every few months for an engineer to come and sort and then got someone private out, he suggested cancelling sky but leaving it all plugged in etc we would then recieve the freeview part so at least get channel 1,2,3 and 4 and we did actually all the freeview ones and for some reason it was fine for ages ..well up till we moved! Wish i had know that in the first place the amount of money we have thrown away on SKY!
We now have a top up box which is very good tbh and far cheaper..
Good luck hope you get it sorted, very annoying paying for a licence when you can't actually have the basics!0 -
I can vouch that in certain circs an indoor aerial can be good, my daughter gets all freeview channels from an indoor on her window sill, Emley Moor is 20 miles away.
If it is a new build then do you have an external aerial already? Most builders either put a cheap one, or don't bother, or stick one in the loft, with the tv backplates connected badly in the rooms.
If it is older then you may need a new aerial but a decent install should be less than £200, and then only if you are in a bad area, if you can put up a sat dish then you can install a TV aerial.
What does wolfbane say about the group of aerial you need, and the signal strength and type?Nothing to see here :beer:0 -
