help needed with Samsung U600
Options
wonder if anyone can give me any advice...
have a samsung U600 that just stopped working and so it had to be sent off for repair (11 months old) under 2 year warranty.
anyway to cut a long story short, the repair people said they wanted £17 to return it to me, it seems the contacts inside phone have corroded, due to being in a damp environment, has never been anywhere damp

or they can environmentally dispose of phone.
Spoke to samsung and they will return phone to me FOC, however still have 7 months of contract left with orange and now have no phone.
Orange won't let me upgrade till I have 3 months remaining so 4 months without phone.
Seems really unfair on Samsungs part.
Does anyone else have experience of dealing with such a senario?
Also if i can't resolve does anyone know where the cheapest deal would be to buy a PAYG U600...?
Thanks in advance x

Does that £17 mean you get your phone back in working order?
If so, then that seems the best option.
If not, have they given a price for repairing and returning your phone?
As a last resort maybe buy a really cheap phone (not a U600) to last 4 months.0 -
the £17 is to return it not working ..... but then I have a phone I can look at lol
just seems so unfair having done nothing to the phone, and because it has corroded inside despite me never having took it anywhere damp/wet.... I am phoneless
just seems a bit off really
going to write to their customer services and see if i can get anywhere, but not holding my breath :-(2007 £1749
