Thames water CCTV drainage inspection

Just has a note dropped through my door, apparently from Thames Water saying they want my permission for a contractor to inspect (CCTV) drainage at my property.
The letter says: "When the inspection is carried out the contractor will also confirm if the drainage serving your property is a public system and therefore the responsibility of Thames Water or if it is private and the responsibility of the property owners." All well and good.
Then it adds: "If the drainage to your property is public ... then a CCTV survey will be undertaken ... free of charge.
It makes no mention of what will happen (who will pay for the inspection) if the drainage is privately owned.
Should I be concerned?? I live on a run of the mill street with semi-detached houses.
Any responses welcome.

Welcome to the forum.
Could it be that an 'Inspection' is not the same as a 'Survey'?
A survey implies that it will give you a written report on condition etc.
Drainage under your land is your responsibility unless the house is quite old(pre-war I believe)0
