Hi
In the process of changing over to broadband. Do I need microfilters for all my telephone sockets or just the one connected to the computer.
I have 4 phone sockets and only 1 microfilter supplied with most providers it could add another £20-24 onto my fees so need to know for my budget.
Thanks

You need them for all telephone sockets but shopping around will get a much cheaper price than you are quoting:

£9.27 for three delivered.
Thanks

If any of them plug into your main socket, you can plug them into the 'phone' input on the microfilter (at the main socket) and you won't need a m/f at the extension socket.0

This site has some useful diagrams

Might be some help with working out where to put the filters?

the problem I got was that the phone in a socket without a splitter would work but had background noise if the broadband was connected and sometimes would cause the connection to drop when that phone was picked upEx forum ambassador
